Chapter 23 Vivian
Chapter 23 Vivian
Compared to the territory of the Snake Venom Gang.
This guesthouse for outsiders is located in a more bustling area with a larger population.
Moreover, it seems that the rules here are well maintained; even though it was already dark, there were still some bold civilians walking on the streets.
However, with the shrewdness gained from surviving in the West District, the pedestrians quickly scattered after they noticed Victor and his group hurrying towards the only brightly lit hotel on the street, fearing that a gang war for territory might break out at any moment and they would be implicated.
But Victor's attention was not on these trivial matters; it was focused on the hotel in front of him.
It wasn't an illusion. As he drew closer, the mercury blood within his body surged faster, as if sensing a call, causing Viktor's breathing to quicken uncontrollably.
Intuition told him that what he was looking for was right in the hotel in front of him!
Viktor took a deep breath, channeled his magic, and forcefully suppressed the strange sensation in his body.
"Your Highness, should we surround this area first?"
The viper then approached and asked in a low voice.
Victor shook his head:
"No...no need."
"Vivian is inside... You and your people just wait outside."
He looked at Garr:
"Gal, come inside with me."
Gal was not surprised by Viktor's words. He silently walked behind Viktor, his hand already on the hilt of the sword at his waist.
I didn't dwell on it any longer.
Victor was the first to push open the door and enter.
The noise, which was not loud at first, suddenly amplified as the hotel door was pushed open, and all of it rushed into Victor's ears.
He frowned impatiently, his gaze sweeping across the space before him. It was a hotel with a rather unremarkable layout; the not-so-spacious lobby was crammed with a dozen or so long tables, about half full of guests.
Judging from their clothing and demeanor, just as Viper said, most of them didn't seem to be locals.
Two waitresses bustled around serving him, occasionally throwing in profanities and boasting—just like the inns in ordinary countries that Victor remembered...
But all of this stopped when Viktor walked in.
Although it is a "foreigners' tavern" and most of the customers are "foreigners"... the existence of wizards is something that no one in this world can ignore, and the awe and fear that mortals have for wizards is deeply engraved in their bones!
No matter how much they boast, when a guy in a wizard's robes actually stands in front of them, most people will follow their survival instinct—shut up and behave themselves!
In particular, Viktor's expression at this moment was far from friendly.
A cold gaze swept across the entire hall, and the previously noisy atmosphere instantly fell silent.
Fortunately, Victor didn't seem to intend to cause them any trouble.
After looking around, Victor walked to the counter and, seeing the waiter's somewhat stiff movements, asked:
"Are you the owner here?"
The waiter stiffly shook his head:
"No...no...the boss isn't here...sir..."
Viktor, unperturbed, continued to inquire:
"I'm looking for a girl."
"She must be only a teenager, with blonde hair, and quite pretty. If nothing unexpected happens, she should live here."
At this point, Victor turned his gaze to the staircase on one side:
"To be precise, she should live on the second floor."
Garr fixed his gaze on him, instantly making the already nervous waiter even more tense, and he stammered:
"This... I..."
"Sir... I don't remember a girl with blonde hair..."
"There's only one here... with silver hair... that's probably not what you're looking for..."
Viktor interrupted his nonsense:
"Which room is she in?"
The waiter shut his mouth, glancing at Gar behind Viktor, who was already poised to draw his sword. Reason prevailed over his conscience.
"Second floor... Room 21, sir..."
Victor turned and walked towards the stairs, quickly climbing them to the second floor.
The hotel's layout wasn't too cluttered, so finding room 21 was surprisingly easy.
As he got closer, the unique feeling in Viktor's body grew stronger... He didn't stop until he reached the door of room 21.
A faint sound came from inside the room and was gradually approaching the door.
Based on Viktor's understanding of his sister, she was clearly not the kind of obedient girl without a rebellious spirit.
So what she's doing is self-evident.
However, Victor had no intention of playing any games of kinship. He spoke coldly, his voice coming through the door in front of him:
"Vivian, it's me...Victor!"
The sounds in the room vanished instantly.
Then it turned into somewhat rapid breathing.
A few seconds later, as if confirming something, footsteps approached the door, the doorknob turned slightly, and the door was pushed open the next moment.
A delicate and beautiful face appeared before Viktor's eyes.
His expression was strangely indescribable, a mixture of various emotions.
Viktor was filled with shock at that moment:
"Just as I expected!!"
The woman standing before him was none other than his sister from this life... Vivian Feltello!
However... just like herself, her younger sister's thick black hair had turned into a shimmering silver that flowed down her shoulders like mercury.
Similarly, the pupils changed, becoming strange vertical pupils.
Vivian also activated the Mercury Blood!
......
Vivian was equally shocked!
However, the reason she was shocked was significantly different from Viktor's;
"Victor... how did you find me?"
"And... what are you wearing... could it be that you've become a wizard?"
Vivian's feelings at this moment were a mix of shock, joy, confusion, and anger at Victor for discovering her predicament.
Clearly, as siblings born to different mothers, their relationship was never close from a young age.
Viktor possessed the talent inherited from his previous life. Even without awakening his memories, he instinctively displayed everything a genius could do. Therefore, it was only natural that the other genius, Vivian, was completely suppressed.
The relationship between their mothers was also not harmonious, which meant that the relationship between the two could not be described as harmonious; at the very least, they disliked each other.
Now, the very person she had always looked down upon was now appearing before her in the guise of a wizard, the very image she had longed for... Vivian found it hard to describe how she felt at that moment.
But...Victor could tell her how he felt at that moment:
"Now, hand over the family treasure to me, Vivian!!!"
