Chapter 814: Now You're Not
Chapter 814: Now You're Not
My Shadow Guards continued to shoot spells at him while the others tried to engage him at melee range.
He casually dodged the spells that were shot at him before slashing his sword in an arc in front of him.
"[Wave Slash]!"
An air blade flew out from his sword and slashed through several of my Shadow Guards, cutting through them and splitting them in half at the waist.
They fell onto the ground, joining the rest who had also been cut down by him.
I was charging up my [Laser], trying to find an opportunity to shoot it at him.
One of my Shadow Guards managed to get close to him and tried to slash at him with her sword.
The Off-Worlder raised his sword almost lazily and parried the blow, which ended up cutting through her sword and leaving my Shadow Guard with a broken weapon.
He then raised his blade up before slashing down, cutting my poor Shadow Guard in two.
The Off-Worlder watched as the two halves of my Shadow Guard dropped to the ground in front of him emotionlessly.
"Is this really the best that you got? I think it would be better for you to just surrender already."
I said nothing and merely directed my Shadow Guards to surround him to attack him with spears.
They obeyed and formed a ring around him, ready to thrust their weapons into the Off-Worlder.
He merely chuckled and spun in a circle with his sword slashing out around him.
"[Whirlwind Slash]!"
.net
A circular blade of air shot out from around him, slicing through all my Shadow Guards that had surrounded him.
They dropped to the ground as well, joining the rest who were already laying on the floor.
"You're really wasting your clones, you know? Unless you are thinking that you can exhaust me with numbers? That's a nice plan but I'm afraid to tell you that I can do this all day."
I remained silent and merely concentrated on directing more of my Shadow Guards to surround him, this time making them hold shields made of light alongside the spears to attack him.
He scoffed, "Please. This isn't even going to help."
He spun around again and yelled out the same skill as before, the whirlwind slash cutting through the shields and my Shadow Guards like a hot knife through butter.
While he was recovering from using that Valour Skill, one of my Shadow Guards leapt over the others with a giant battleaxe raised over her head.
She swung it down towards the Off-Worlder, aiming to split open his head like a watermelon.
The axe smashed against his head, only to shatter into pieces instead of cutting through him like I had hoped to happen.
"Like I said. This is useless, you bitch. Maybe if you get down on your knees and beg for mercy, I might even consider letting you off if you pledge to be my slave."
This guy really likes to talk a lot huh...
I tried to use [Screened] once more but it was still giving me errors so I assume that I either had to rip the cloak off him to bypass this or this came from something else that he was wearing.
He turned to glare at the Shadow Guard who struck him, "You bitch..."
The Off-Worlder then turned to the sky and let out a roar, "[Dragon's Cry]!"
A shockwave blasted out from him, blowing my Shadow Guards away from him.
He shifted his glare to me and pointed an accusing finger towards me, "You! How are you doing this?! How are your clones getting stronger?!"
Hmm... I think I just need a little bit more...
Instead of shooting a spell at him this time, I got Eins, Zwei and Drei to buff me with [Strength] and [Body Current] before I leapt towards him.
He pulled his sword back in his thrusting stance again while I materialised an armour using [Light Forge] without slowing down.
"Speed of light thrust!" He shouted, thrusting his sword forward.
I braced myself to receive the blow and...
Nothing happened.
Nice.
He was looking down at his sword in confusion when I reached him, his eyes widening when he saw my fist flying straight towards his chin.
The blow struck against him and he stumbled back a few steps, clearly reeling from the blow.
"Ho... How? No... You're also proficient in buffing yourself... But how were you able to seal my skills?!" He cried out.
I think at this point, it should be fine to tell him.
I grinned at him, "It's not just me who is getting stronger... It's you who is getting weaker."
"What?"
"Oh, you didn't notice? I guess you aren't used to fighting so you don't even know your own strength. We've been freeing the Dungeoneers you've been controlling all this while so you've been steadily losing strength this entire time. This is what happens when you use power that does not belong to you."
His eyes widened as he finally realised what was going on.
Yep, the Queen really was quite efficient in her work.
I would say that when the fight started, his strength might be somewhere around ten times of mine, but now it has decreased to maybe five times which I could still deal with if I stacked multiple buffs on myself.
Now... There was really no need to hold back anymore...
This entire time I just needed him to stay here instead of trying to teleport away so I made him think he could win easily since I may not be able to catch him if he tried to run away.
I snapped my fingers and all the Shadow Guards who had been cut down quickly rose up again, drawing upon their mana to heal themselves.
Alright... Now we can fight for real.
Are you regretting it now, motherfucker?
