"Sister, are you sure this is the right way?" Elsa asked, visibly confused. Her older sister had brought her to the imperial capital for a few days, supposedly to familiarize herself with the corridors of the enormous academy. However, they had been lost for about three hours now, unable to find the other students.
Daniela frowned in response. "Yes, it's this way," she replied firmly, though it was evident she was also lost and didn't want to admit it.
Elsa rolled her eyes at her sister's stubbornness. She was about to say something when Daniela exclaimed excitedly, "There they are!"
Elsa, with a mixture of curiosity and amusement, closely observed the three girls chatting animatedly in the corner of the academy's café. "I saw it, seriously, it was so cool, I wish he would hug me like that too!" exclaimed one of them, her eyes shining with excitement. The girl, with purple hair and eyes, hugged herself as if living out a fantasy in her mind.
Alicia, beside her, had an enigmatic expression as she watched Charlotte Darkwood intently. Alicia, the second princess, had a strange expression on her face when she heard Anthony's name. To Alicia's right stood Anthony's sister, a young woman with white hair and piercing red eyes. Emily, with eyes wide with surprise, listened attentively to every word that came out of Charlotte's lips.
She was surprised that her brother already had a partner.
"What are you girls talking about?" asked Daniela, joining the group with a look of total confusion. Her voice cut through the lively atmosphere, drawing everyone's attention towards her. Charlotte walked towards them with a playful smile, "We're talking about Emily's brother." Daniela's confusion deepened, "Why?"
Elsa, upon hearing Anthony's name, perked up, showing interest as she listened to the conversation. "You see, a guy named Ezequiel was interested in a girl with black hair and red eyes walking through the corridors," explained Charlotte enthusiastically. "He tried to approach her, but the girl didn't even give him a glance. Then, when the guy tried to grab her hand, Anthony nearly cut off his arm!
Elsa, coming out of her thoughts, responded with a warm smile, returning the hug with equal intensity. It was comforting to feel the affection of her childhood friend after so many years. In fact, all the girls present were childhood friends, forming a unique and lasting bond over the years. Although some people were missing from the group, the presence of lifelong friends was comforting for Elsa.
"Is the story you told true?" Daniela and Alicia asked simultaneously, with a mixture of skepticism and curiosity in their voices. Charlotte, somewhat frustrated by her friends' disbelief, rolled her eyes and replied firmly, "It's true, I swear!"
A pout of anger formed on Charlotte's face as she saw her friends not believing her. Although she knew they had reasons to doubt, given Anthony's past record and his current situation, she couldn't help but feel annoyed by the lack of trust. It had been six months since it was known that Anthony was in the Maximum-Bronze rank, which raised doubts about his recent behavior.
However, Charlotte shrugged, resigned to the fact that time could change people in unexpected ways.
Emily, in contrast to Charlotte's agitation and Daniela and Alicia's doubts, remained silent as always. However, inside her, she felt a mix of emotions. Although she didn't express it openly, she had a keen interest in seeing Anthony and the girl who was now his girlfriend.
After a few minutes, all the girls settled around the table and began to catch up. The atmosphere was filled with laughter and lively conversations as they shared stories and anecdotes of what they had been up to lately. The hours passed quickly amidst chatter and laughter until a sudden voice echoed throughout the campus, interrupting the tranquility of the moment.
"Attention all students!" the voice resonated through the speakers, drawing the attention of the girls and everyone else on campus. "Your assigned classes will be displayed on the screen appearing in the courtyard in the next few minutes, section B4!" The news was met with a murmur of anticipation and questions among the students present.
"Absolutely everyone must head to campus B4!" the voice announced firmly, making it clear that this was an important instruction that everyone must follow. The girls exchanged surprised looks before starting to move towards the designated area.
