Chapter 1177 Mechanoid Industries
Chapter 1177 Mechanoid Industries
-----
"Ah, Blake! I'm here, it took me a while to get past the wall! They really didn't want to let me pass despite seeing my mech."
Zack had appeared, flying with his amazing machine, which he piloted. He opened the door towards its head where he was sitting, waving his hand from there.
"Hey, glad you see back. I got some new information from a friend that's been researching the game. How about we explore another ruin in a different continent?"
"Wait, what?!" he asked. "Another continent? But... the seas are half frozen and half contaminated and full of giant Mutants. Crossing them is pure lunacy most of the time! And the skies too, they're full of flying Mutants."
"Is that why Players haven't visited other areas except this huge desert?" I asked.
"I mean, there's more cities and villages down there to the secondary sector of this continent, which has huge jungles full of wild mutant tribes," said Zack. "I haven't gone there though, but I've heard the tribes of mutants there are in constant wars. And also there's like, alliances between Players and them and also Mechanoid Industries got a post there."
"That must be South America then, at this time, Earth had changed climatically quite drastically," said the Neutonium Mother Core through telepathy. "North America became a boiling desert; South America was half drowned, and the other half became a huge and dangerous jungle where monsters and monstrous tribes thrived. And then most of Europe got frozen solid."
North America, South America, Europe... these are all how the Continents are called in this planet named Earth where these humans originated from.
There might be more continents, but so far these had been mentioned.
"Don't worry, I got a shortcut," I smiled. "Near the sea that connects to the Europa continent, there's a small artificial island, an abandoned building possesses a teleportation device, it should bring us all the way to Russia."
"Russia?!" Zack immediately changed his expression. "Wait, really? Maybe... but it's dangerous! Argh, I kind of want to go and not... I've heard Russia was an influential country in the world... After all this game is kind of like, make out of Earth or something? I've only learned a bit about it from history classes."
"Yeah, Russia harbors another of those huge stones we found," I explained. "If we can find it, we'll get even richer with those materials."
"Even... richer?" Zack muttered. "Ah, I really need money right now too... My sister's sick and her treatment is not cheap. It's either paying expensive drugs or letting her sleep cryogenically. And she had already made a whole life here so... Ah. Okay. But if my robot gets destroyed you're paying for it."
"Sure," I nodded. "Thanks for coming along, your help will be appreciated."
Didn't they look a lot like the Machine Warriors we use to fight the Xenoids?
They were large, bulky, humanoid, with very human-like faces.
Any other robot I've seen in this game were sleek and "futuristic"-looking, or were made out of several different machine parts, and rusty.
But this... they were perfectly symmetrical, strong-looking, mighty.
"I present to you our latest models, they're still being tested, but we've managed to prove they're fully functional for long distance flight, and even spaceflight," said Alfred. "Yes, they're being made to fight in outer space. Therefore they're like small spaceships, equipped with everything to help someone survive in space. Hence why they're so huge and also incredibly heavy."
"They're...?" I asked.
"We call them Machine Warriors," Alfred seemed proud. "They're the guardians of humanity's future. The first three models. Red, Blue, and Yellow."
"My ancestors..." Braveblitz gasped.
"Normally, we wouldn't allow anybody to ever buy them," he said. "But we wanted to test them with real pilots... there might still be problems, but by far, they're our strongest models, ever. The prices are quite high. 300.000 Warrior Points a day for rent, usually."
"Okay, I'll take all three," I smiled.
"A-All three?!" gasped Zack and Alfred at the same time.
I had millions of Credits and even more Warrior Points, so I think I can afford these for a couple of days anyways.
If we can employ them in battle through summoning them to reality, our strength as units would increase a lot!
And about money? I earn a lot already, and once I talk with the Elders I'll ask for more money anyways.
