The world has turned into Hell's Game, why should I stay human?

Chapter 1413: Returning Home to Sweep Ancestors’ Graves

Chapter 1413: Returning Home to Sweep Ancestors’ Graves

"Might die."Shi Yidao replied.

"I thought it was something big, go ahead."

Liu Zheng breathed a sigh of relief.

Anyway, he had two lives. If one life could be exchanged for the essence of Shi Yidao’s sword technique, it was well worth it.

"Alright. Look into my eyes."

Shi Yidao said.

Liu Zheng lowered his head to look into Shi Yidao’s eyes, but what he saw was an ocean.

"Since childhood, I admired the sea. After mastering the sword technique, I went alone to the seaside. However, facing the boundless ocean, I was filled not with longing but with fear. If the sea were to overturn one day, what would become of all creatures?"

"So I trained with seawater, slashing the sea a hundred thousand times a day, until I achieved mastery."

"Yet the seawater is ultimately dead, while I could cut through seawater, I couldn’t cut through the countless terrifying creatures within the sea."

"Fortunately, I met the Legendary delivery man, Li Sang, whose personality was as unpredictable as the ocean, and whose strength was deep like the sea. I imagined him as my opponent and finally comprehended the ultimate move, which is..."

At this point, a small boat drifted over from afar, and Shi Yidao stood on the boat, holding his sword.

"Renxia One-Slash Style: Sea Overturning Heaven Slash."

With one slash, the ocean overturned.

The boundless seawater turned into limitless sword energy, slashing towards the infinite sky.

The sea is boundless, the sky infinite, yet only creatures are rootless, living and dying like ephemera.

Given this, cut off the finite with the infinite, overturning the sea and slashing the sky!

"This is my sword. What about yours?"

Shi Yidao’s voice echoed in Liu Zheng’s mind.

"My sword?"

Liu Zheng was somewhat dazed.

His sword was just a sword; it didn’t even matter if it was a sword. A sword was just a tool for chopping people.

So "Anger" often changed shape in his hands, and sometimes it wasn’t even a sword.

"Think about it, but don’t take too long."

Shi Yidao reminded.

He had already fused his spirit and intent into this slash, and only if Liu Zheng could unleash the ultimate spirit and intent of a slash could he withstand it; otherwise, even if he didn’t die, he wouldn’t gain anything.

"Think about it?"

All sorts of past events floated before his eyes.

Liu Zheng realized that he hadn’t changed much.

As a child, he threw punches to secure his meager living expenses, to make the ones who insulted him for being orphaned cry out for their parents.

As he grew up, he learned boxing to reclaim his hard-earned wages, to make those who called him a country bumpkin lie down and eat dirt.

When he entered the Metropolis, he started using a sword, but the essence remained the same.

For survival and dignity.

If anyone took away these two things from him, he would get very angry.

So Liu Zheng figured it out.

Figured it out and then wielded his sword.

The dried-up seabed cracked open with breathtaking wounds, and active, silent, dead sea volcanoes erupted, spewing streams of lava skyward, like inverted waterfalls crashing into the limitless sword energy.

Flying down three thousand feet, seemingly the Milky Way descending from the heavens.

This scene of overturning heaven and earth, water and fire at odds, was far more spectacular than a waterfall hanging across a canyon.

Yet, this scene didn’t last long.

Though Liu Zheng borrowed some of Extreme Fury Asura’s divine intent due to shared thoughts, it fell far short of Shi Yidao’s expertly refined sword intent.

Within just ten breaths, the sky-filled lava was cooled into stone by the seawater, then shattered into debris by the sword energy.

And Liu Zheng himself was sliced into particles invisible to the naked eye amid the barrage.

"Hold on, don’t fall asleep; the longer you endure, the more you’ll gain."

Shi Yidao’s voice sounded again.

Upon hearing this, Liu Zheng too summoned up his spirit and used sheer willpower to keep his consciousness intact.

After an unknown amount of time, he could no longer hold on, and his consciousness sank into a void.

When he regained consciousness, what he saw wasn’t Shi Yidao, nor the French Plane Tree, but the ceiling of the familiar rest room.

"Huh?"

Liu Zheng exclaimed in surprise.

"Huh, my foot. You delivered food and put yourself to sleep. I’ve brought so many newcomers, and I’ve never seen anyone as funny as you."

Niu Ma’s voice came from the corner.

"Big boss, you carried me back?"

He asked.

"Otherwise, did you grow legs and walk back yourself while sleeping?"

Niu Ma replied irritably.

"Haha, how did you know where I was?"

Liu Zheng asked again.

"I didn’t know."

Niu Ma replied.

"What?"

"I never said I didn’t know."

He lifted his eyelids.

"I really walked back with my grown legs while asleep?"

Liu Zheng said in shock.

"How would I know? I found you in the delivery passage anyway."

Niu Ma replied.

"Hmm?"

This left him more confused.

Could it be that everything that just happened was a dream, and he never actually delivered the food but fainted in the delivery passage from the start?

In his bewilderment, Liu Zheng took out his phone and found several missed calls, the most from Niu Daji.

So he called Niu Daji.

"Boss, you’re awake?"

Niu Daji asked excitedly.

"Yes, what’s going on?"

Liu Zheng asked.

"A guy named Shi Yidao came to the clinic and told the doctor you fainted at Mr. Tree’s place and that it’s best to find a way to bring you back to the restaurant. Then the doctor called us to Rose Street and brought you back near the restaurant, while the bear stuck a talisman paper on you to control your body to walk into the delivery passage."

Niu Daji recounted the events.

He reached behind his back to explore and indeed felt a talisman paper that had been mostly burned.
