Chapter 212 Each
After receiving the "Fool's" approval, Audrey explained her extraordinary characteristics to Fors in a good mood:
"Within the extraordinary world, there is this law:"
The total amount of extraordinary properties within similar pathways is conserved; it neither increases nor decreases, but only transfers from one thing to another, and transforms from one form to another.
"Therefore, when an extraordinary person dies, the characteristics they gained through consuming potions will be released. This may combine with certain things nearby to form magical items, or it may reassemble into pure extraordinary characteristics, which are equivalent to the main ingredients of the corresponding sequence of potions."
After Audrey finished explaining "justice," Cyril added:
"If the person is out of control, or has extremely strong emotions, or has been contaminated, then the extraordinary characteristics they release will also carry corresponding hidden dangers."
...The extraordinary properties extracted from an extraordinary being after death are equivalent to the main ingredients of a potion of the corresponding sequence.
However, if an extraordinary being was contaminated before death, the released properties may pose a hidden danger!
A thought flashed through Fors's mind, and she finally understood the real reason why she could hear the Full Moon's whispers.
...The extraordinary qualities that made me an "apprentice" came from Mrs. Anlissa, whose qualities came from her husband's legacy, from members of the Abraham family who bore the blood curse.
The extraordinary qualities I used when I became an "apprentice" were inherently problematic, and it wasn't until I used the bracelet from the Abraham family to avoid danger that this problem fully surfaced.
If I had been more cautious and avoided putting myself in danger, I wouldn't have used that bracelet, and I wouldn't have become so deeply affected by the Full Moon Language afterward.
Of course, she wouldn't blame Mrs. Anlisa for this, as the latter clearly didn't know any of this.
Moreover, if she hadn't been so deeply affected by the full moon's influence that she couldn't bear it, she wouldn't have prayed to Mr. Fool back then, and she certainly wouldn't have joined the Tarot Club now.
This must be considered a special encounter for me.
After letting her thoughts wander for a while, she finally realized, belatedly, that she had missed the extraordinary characteristic that her friend Hugh needed as a "sheriff".
...Never mind, I don't have enough money to buy it anyway, so I'll just miss out.
After the little incident, it was Alger's turn to share his observations:
"Recently, the 'Dawn,' belonging to the 'Mysterious Queen,' was spotted at sea. It appeared in the Sunia Sea, not far from Rune, and then entered the Raging Sea, seemingly heading towards the Southern Continent."
"The Mysterious Queen!"
After a brief moment of surprise, everyone turned their curious gazes toward Alger, the "Hanged Man," awaiting his next words.
Alger shook his head slightly: "It was just a brief glimpse; no one dared to rashly follow the flagship of a pirate king."
"However, the Church of Storms has reacted strongly to this, and a senior deacon has already entered the Raging Sea."
"There will probably be fewer ships traveling between the North and South continents via the safe routes of the Raging Sea during this period. Although the 'Dawn' is relatively friendly among pirates, nobody wants to be the one being treated kindly."
Afterwards, Fors the Magician, Derrick the Sun, and the World controlled by Klein also shared some of their observations.
Then everyone gave Derrick a lecture until Mr. Fool announced the end of the day's gathering.
Crimson rays of light rose up, engulfing all vision.
After a brief feeling of weightlessness, Cyril found herself back in reality, back in her bedroom.
After waiting a short while, the familiar gray mist appeared before his eyes, and then he heard the voice of "The Fool" Klein:
"Mr. 'The Hanged Man' has sacrificed that magical item to me; you can now trade with him for the 'Wind-Clad' potion recipe."
"No problem." After nodding slightly, Sirion snapped his fingers.
Under the influence of the "fog creation" and "object manipulation" magic, a thin white mist appeared out of thin air, then wriggled as if alive, outlining lines of words in mid-air:
Main materials: Six crystal feathers of the Blue Shadow Falcon, a pair of eyes of the Dragon Eye Sea Eagle; Auxiliary materials: ...
Above the gray fog, Klein's eye twitched slightly as he witnessed this scene... He's quite the actor.
Why doesn't the "magician" have such a simple and practical magic-like ability? They're all part of the circus, after all.
After muttering something under his breath, he captured the scene of Cyril showing the recipe for the "Windbringer" potion and then threw it into the illusory star representing the "Hanged Man".
Sunia Sea, "Azure Avenger".
Alger, pacing back and forth in the captain's cabin, suddenly stopped. A thick gray fog appeared in his vision, from which a deep red light rose and quickly solidified into a picture.
In the video, a blurry-looking man snaps his fingers, and then white mist appears out of thin air, constantly intertwining and piecing together several lines of words in mid-air.
After quickly memorizing the words that appeared in the image, Alger placed his hand on his chest, lowered his head slightly, and bowed respectfully to the magnificent figure above the gray mist:
"Dear Mr. 'Fool,' I have memorized the entire recipe for 'Wind-Centered One.' Thank you for your help."
"I hope that when we meet next week, you will have become a Chosen One."
The voice of "The Fool," tinged with a hint of laughter, lingered in his ears for a moment before the gray fog before his eyes quickly dissipated, as if nothing had ever happened, leaving no trace.
Alger clenched his fists and looked out the window at the approaching dock.
"The auxiliary materials needed for the 'Wind-Cherisher' aren't too troublesome, and since I arrived at the Rose Island ahead of time, I should be able to gather all the materials and begin the advancement in three days at most."
Silver City shrouded in darkness.
Derrick stood up from the bedside and, using the light from the lightning outside the window, quickly glanced around.
Neither his own eyesight nor his spiritual intuition detected any trace of being monitored.
However, after the tarot readings were deduced by the people at the tarot meeting, he believed that the chief who sent him home must have someone secretly monitoring him, but he was not good at finding people and observing, so he could hardly find the person secretly monitoring him.
After hesitating for a moment and giving himself a pep talk, Derrick tucked the Hurricane Axe from the table into his belt and headed out the door.
After Derrick left the house, the shadow in the corner of the room he had just been in stirred.
After a brief period of darkness, the flash of lightning illuminated the room again, revealing a tall figure standing before the square wooden table.
His gaze swept quickly around Derrick's room before settling on Derrick's retreating figure, his body disappearing back into the shadows.
After passing the potion recipe for "The Wind-Clad One" to "The Hanged Man" Alger through "The Fool," Cyril did not rush to hold the ritual of requesting the gift. Instead, he planned to wait until Miss "The Magician" had copied down "Spiritual Encounters" before holding the ritual together to obtain it.
He then went straight to the attic on the third floor.
The figure in the screaming painting hadn't reported anything about the unconscious intruder, and he began to suspect that the person might have already turned into a monster.
Upon seeing Sirion, the figure in the painting bowed to him with a mixture of respect and trepidation:
"Greetings, great master, your faithful servant."
"I've been keeping a close eye on this cowardly guy. He's woken up a few times, but each time he just opens his eyes he faints again."
Cyril's gaze lingered on the screaming scroll hanging on the wall and on the pale, bloodless person lying on the ground.
After a brief silence, he sighed, rubbing his forehead.
"My mistake was hanging you where he could see you as soon as he opened his eyes."
"How could a low-sequence extraordinary being, whose spirit has been traumatized and is in a weakened state, withstand the mental impact of looking directly at you?"
The distorted figure in the painting waved its hands repeatedly:
"No, how can this be considered your mistake? You can only blame this guy for being too weak."
Cyril didn't reply, but silently turned the scroll upside down.
"No, great master, I can't see you anymore!"
"Master, please hang me in a different direction. I can't be without you in my sight."
Ignoring the screaming and commotion, Cyril crouched down and patted the cheek of the unfortunate guy lying on the ground.
A pale blue light spread across his palm, and with each tap, a thin layer of ice crystals was left on the other person's cheek.
Stimulated by the low temperature and frost, after about ten seconds, the unfortunate guy lying on the ground weakly opened his eyes, his pupils dilated, looking like he had suffered a major blow and was mentally broken.
