Chapter 614: You Cannot Have My Disciple
Chapter 614: You Cannot Have My Disciple
After Kaelvar’s victory ended, the tournament site slowly began calming down.
The final had been decided.
Tomorrow, Dahlia Draconia of God Gym would fight Kaelvar Ignis of the Dragon Race.
Inside the private viewing room, Garion stood up and stretched lazily. "Alright. No point staying here anymore."
Dahlia nodded while rolling her shoulders. "Yeah. I should eat and rest before tomorrow."
Alira also stood up calmly. "That would be best. The final match will receive far more attention than the previous rounds."
Garion grinned. "Good. The more people watching, the better."
Dahlia laughed. "Master, you really only care about advertising."
Garion placed a hand on his chest proudly. "That’s called business sense."
The three of them left the private viewing room and walked through the corridor leading toward the exit.
But just as they were about to leave the tournament building, someone stepped out from the side.
Dahlia immediately stopped.
Garion also raised an eyebrow.
Standing in front of them was Kaelvar Ignis.
Beside him stood an older man with crimson hair, golden eyes, and two long dragon horns curving backward from his head.
His aura was controlled, but even without releasing pressure, he gave off the feeling of someone far stronger than the tournament participants.
Dahlia’s eyes narrowed slightly. "What?"
Kaelvar looked at her calmly before giving a faint smile. "Relax. I’m not here to fight before the final."
Dahlia crossed her arms. "Then why are you blocking the road?"
Kaelvar glanced at the elder beside him. "My elder wants to speak with you."
Garion’s eyes shifted toward the old dragon.
Alira’s expression also became slightly more serious.
Dahlia raised an eyebrow. "Speak with me?"
Kaelvar nodded. "After all..."
His golden eyes looked directly at her. "Both of us are Dragon Race."
Dahlia stared at him for a second.
Then she grinned faintly. "Oh? So now you’re interested because I’m also a dragon?"
Kaelvar did not deny it. "You’re strong, young, and your aura is strange. It doesn’t feel like any normal dragon branch I know."
The elder beside him finally spoke, his voice deep and steady. "That is why I wished to meet you before the final."
Garion casually stepped beside Dahlia with his hands in his pockets. "Then talk."
His grin widened slightly. "But make it quick. My disciple needs food."
The elder looked at Garion for a moment, then glanced toward the hallway around them. "Let’s not talk here."
Kaelvar nodded lightly. "There are too many people watching."
Dahlia crossed her arms. "Fine."
Garion shrugged. "As long as it doesn’t take too long."
Alira calmly led them toward a nearby private room prepared for important tournament guests.
After entering, the door closed behind them, and several soundproofing formations lit up across the walls.
Only then did the dragon elder finally sit down across from Dahlia.
His golden eyes studied her carefully. "Dahlia Draconia."
Dahlia raised an eyebrow. "Yeah?"
The elder’s expression remained calm, but his gaze was sharp. "Which dragon lineage do you come from?"
Dahlia blinked.
Then she looked at Garion.
Garion casually sat beside her and answered for her. "She doesn’t know."
The elder frowned slightly. "She doesn’t know?"
Garion nodded. "Originally, Dahlia was human."
The room instantly fell silent.
Even Kaelvar’s expression changed.
Dahlia leaned back and added casually, "A human with dragon bloodline."
Garion continued, "After training under me, her bloodline kept evolving until she became what she is now."
The elder stared at Dahlia again, this time with far more shock in his eyes. "A human... evolving into a dragon?"
Kaelvar narrowed his eyes slightly. "From what world?"
Garion smiled. "A lower world."
The elder slowly leaned back. "...I see."
For a moment, his gaze became extremely complicated.
A dragon from a lower world with unknown lineage but her bloodline pressure was clearly abnormal.
After thinking silently for a while, the elder finally spoke. "In that case, why don’t you join our family?"
Dahlia’s eyes immediately sharpened.
Before Garion could say anything, she answered first. "No."
The elder paused. "You refuse that quickly?"
Dahlia grinned. "Of course."
She placed one hand on her chest proudly. "I’m God Gym’s first disciple."
Then she pointed at Garion. "My master is here. My faction is here. Why would I join someone else?"
Kaelvar looked at her silently.
The elder frowned slightly. "Our dragon family can give you resources, bloodline guidance, protection, and status."
Dahlia laughed. "Hahaha! Sounds nice."
Then her grin turned sharper. "But I already have what I need."
Garion finally laughed from the side. "That’s right."
He leaned back lazily, but his eyes were no longer casual. "Don’t take us too lightly."
The elder turned toward him.
Garion’s grin widened. "Dahlia didn’t become strong because she joined some ancient dragon family."
He pointed at himself. "She became strong because I trained her."
Dahlia proudly lifted her chin. "And tomorrow, I’ll prove that again."
Kaelvar’s golden eyes narrowed.
For a moment, the room became quiet.
Then the elder slowly smiled. "I see."
His gaze shifted between Garion and Dahlia. "So God Gym refuses to release its dragon."
Garion smiled shamelessly. "Of course."
Dahlia cracked her knuckles lightly. "And I’m not some dragon for people to collect."
The dragon elder stared at Dahlia for a few more seconds.
Dahlia didn’t lower her gaze.
Garion also remained seated lazily beside her, still wearing that shameless grin.
The atmosphere stayed tense for a moment before the elder finally stood up. "I understand."
His voice was calm, but the slight frown on his face showed that he was not completely pleased.
Kaelvar also stood up beside him.
The elder looked at Dahlia one last time. "Then I will look forward to tomorrow’s final."
Dahlia grinned. "Good. Watch carefully."
Garion waved casually. "And remember the name God Gym while you’re at it."
The elder’s eyebrow twitched slightly, but he said nothing else and soon, he turned and left the private room with Kaelvar.
Inside the room, Dahlia snorted. "He really wanted to take me away, huh?"
Garion laughed. "Of course. A dragon like you appearing out of nowhere? Any dragon family would be interested."
Dahlia crossed her arms proudly. "Too bad. I already have a family."
Garion’s grin softened slightly. "Yeah."
