Chapter 781. Visiting the edge region 2
Chapter 781. Visiting the edge region 2
Kailen and Julian appeared in an extremely different place from where they previously were after going through the barrier. The feeling that they were extremely far away from the chaotic region of the universe encumbered them.
Kailen looked around. There were several celestial bodies in the vicinity. The universe was dark, silent, deep, and cold though.
So this was the edge region of the universe.
At this moment, the duo saw several individuals floating past them. Those floating past them glanced at them for a moment, nodded to them, and moved past them. These fellows were most likely transcendents who recognized that Julian and Kailen were also transcendents.
"Let’s go," Julian said.
The duo travelled several millions of light years in just a moment. This was normal for transcendents because their strength was completely above the edge region or the light region. They didn’t even have to use their principles; just using their transcendent physiques was enough.

Edge region of the Universe.
Andromados Domain.
Sier Galaxy.
Several star systems stretched across. Occasionally, spaceships would glide through the starry sea, headed towards different cities lorded over by the prestigious Seir Clan.
Two individuals appeared above the Seir Galaxy. Their gazes scanned the place for a moment, and they disappeared again.
****
It had been countless years since Julian Seir, the legendary patriarch of the Seir Vampire Clan, visited the clan.
During this period, his eldest son, Oblivion Seir, had governed the Seir Clan with tremendous power and uncanny skill. No one in the clan dared to oppose him or scheme against him with clan politics. After what Julian Seir pulled off 7,000 years ago concerning the death of his wife, no one wanted to test the man’s patience.
He was a transcendent now, and news reaching the Andromodos domain of the edge region of the universe was that he had managed to join a major power in one of the empires of the Chaotic region of the universe by emerging as the second place in a competition where several monstrous Transcendents were involved. No one in the Andromodos domain could even imagine how terrifying he had become.
Currently, the general residence and operating center of the Seir Clan was in its usual state as everyone went about their duties. The Seir Clan residence spanned three star systems, and was very grandiose.
Currently, in the Seir residence, two individuals could be seen standing across a bed in a magnificent castle. On the bed, a handsome vampire with a regal bearing could be seen lying on the bed.
The two individuals, man and woman, standing by his side bore a striking resemblance to him—all having white hair and pale skin. They were clad in casual clothes and sneakers, but their bearings were extraordinary. They had somber expressions in their eyes as they stared at the person on the bed.
Suddenly, the person on the bed coughed.
"Take it easy, kid bro. It won’t be long," the woman said gently. "We will find an alchemist that can manage to get rid of the poison, and you will be fine."
"Riselia, I only wish to see dad. So that if I have to die, at least I can let him have revenge on the bastard who did this to me," the person on the bed said, with coldness flickering through his eyes.
Riselia, his elder sister, frowned. The truth was that they had lost all hope. Several Rank 9 alchemists had come to try their best, but their brother was not getting better.
Also, the person who poisoned him had become a transcendent 2,000 years ago and left for the chaotic region. Only their dad—who was now a powerful Transcendent, according to news travelling by word of mouth from transcendents visiting the Andromodos region from the Venzula Empire of the chaotic region—could seek revenge in the future in the chaotic region of the universe for their brother.
"Don’t say that, Lucian. You will definitely get better," the man standing by the bed said. "As for revenge, dad will definitely return, and when he does, we will let him know. And the bastard who did this to you, wherever he is in the chaotic region, dad will find them and put an end to them."
"Oblivion, no need to comfort me. I know I won’t survive for long. I just hope I can meet Dad before it’s too late," Lucian said with a sad and melancholic expression.
His two siblings looked at each other and sighed. They clenched their fists. It was their duty to protect their youngest sibling in the absence of their father, but they had failed. They could only be here for him.
As for that old man, when was he coming back?
****
Two individuals appeared above the Seir Clan residence. One had white hair, and the other had void-like hair. They disappeared as soon as they appeared.
The duo arrived in front of a large castle. There were several supreme-stage universe-level guards at the gate. The moment the two appeared, the guards were startled for a moment.
Who were these two? Why did the white-haired fellow look so familiar?
Anyway, these two had extraordinary bearings, and they could not even gauge their strength level. It was as if the two people standing in front of them could squash them with just a sneeze if they chose to. Could it be that the two men were transcendents?
"Excellencies, what may we do for you?" the guards bowed with respect.
Julian spoke, his voice directed toward one of the guards. "It seems being absent for a while has made it difficult for you to recognize me, Landruff."
One of the guards, Landruff, could not believe his eyes. The image he found familiar in his head overlapped with the image of the man standing before him.
"Young Master... no, Patriarch Seir?"
Julian did not find it offensive that Landruff had referred to him as a young master. This man was his personal guard and aid throughout the periods of turmoil in the clan. He had seen and assisted Julian to rise from just a talented young man to the clan head. He was more of a father figure to Julian. Their relationship had exceeded that of an aid and a master.
And besides, Julian was no longer the patriarch; his son, Oblivion, was. There was no need for Landruff to be so formal.
"Mmm. It’s been a while, old man. Why are you guarding the gates? Shouldn’t you be retired?" Julian said.
The moment Julian spoke, the other guards realized he was actually their clan leader. The legendary clan leader had returned.
"We greet the clan leader!" the guards bowed with reverence.
Julian simply waved his hand. "No need for pleasantries."
"My old bones cannot retire" Landruff said "Also, the youngest master is not in too much of a good state. The eldest requested I should guard the gates in case of any unusual occurrences. He’s been very paranoid ever since the youngest fell ill."
On hearing the words of Landruff, Julian’s eyes gleamed with worry.
"Lead us to him, old man," Julian said.
Landruff nodded. Julian, Kailen, and Landruff disappeared into the castle.
