Chapter 63 Kane Awakens, Clues
Chapter 63 Kane Awakens, Clues
Lyon walked out of the conference room looking somewhat tired.
He shuddered at the thought of Korsol's furious outburst in the conference room.
"It's scary when a mage gets angry."
"But Kane is really lucky to have survived that explosion."
"No, it should be said that Korsol is quite fond of his disciple, even giving him an alchemical artifact that can withstand the attack of a great mage."
Lyon thought of Kane, who was still lying in a hospital bed.
Kane survived, and his injuries weren't too serious. After drinking the healing potion, he should wake up in about half a day.
However, Korsol was furious that his disciple had been attacked.
They were determined to catch the murderer.
However, the traces left by the killer near Kane's house have now disappeared in the explosion.
Thor could only rage helplessly.
Leon only knew a little bit of information, which was the mysterious figure that Dorothy had mentioned, but that was all he knew.
Height, weight, and physical characteristics are unknown; everything else is unknown.
Therefore, Lyon dared not say these words aloud, for fear that Corsol would take his anger out on him.
"Ugh, what a hassle."
Just as Leon sighed, he saw his sister striding rapidly down the corridor from a distance, looking menacing.
"Brother, take a look at this."
"Um?"
Leon looked at the letter that Leon had unfolded in front of him with some confusion.
After reading the contents of the letter, Lyon's lips twitched.
He now only felt an unbearable headache.
Troublesome things just keep piling up.
Leons pursed her lips, her voice filled with expectation as she asked, "Can you help Elor?"
Hearing footsteps behind him, Leon quickly folded the letter in front of him and returned it to Leon.
"I still have some troublesome things to deal with here, you go back and wait."
Now, all sorts of things are causing Lyon so much trouble that he doesn't know what to do first.
He could only try to calm his sister down first.
Leonce stood against the wall, watching the people walk out of the conference room.
Each of them exuded a powerful magical aura, and each of them was as strong as their brother.
Lyon shook his head slightly and followed the crowd away.
Leona clutched the letter in her hand and sighed helplessly.
"Sigh, that's true. My brother has worked so hard all this time, and he can only say a few words in the Blackwood family. It's too difficult for him to interfere in the affairs of the Lane family."
Leonce looked down at her hands.
Praised as a genius magician, the youngest mage in the family's history, everyone had high hopes for him.
but……
"I can't do anything..."
Leonce walked alone down the corridor, feeling somewhat dejected, and headed outside.
……
At this moment, a group of people walked solemnly toward the alchemy tower.
Leading the way were two people: on the left was the mage Kosol, and on the right was Spencer, the vice-principal of the Apprentice City.
Following behind was Theodore, the prosecutor sent by the Mage's Guild, and then the tower masters and teachers of the various magic towers in the City of Apprentices.
Kosol walked very fast.
"We just received news from the Alchemy Tower that Kane has woken up."
Theodore, who was walking behind, pushed up his glasses.
"It's good that Mr. Kane is alright. As a suspect in the previous assistant's death case and now a victim of this bombing, I have a lot to ask him."
"Hmph, I'll write a letter to the Mage's Guild today to lodge a protest."
Kosol's tone was unfriendly.
Theodore simply shrugged. "Mr. Kosor, there's no need to be so angry. I'm just concerned, and I urgently need to catch the culprit in this case."
The group quickly arrived at the magic tower and found Kane lying in a hospital bed.
Kosol stood in front of the hospital bed, his tightly furrowed brows relaxing slightly.
Kane is doing well now; the healing potion is working very well.
When Kane saw his teacher and the other people filling the ward, his first words were, "Teacher, I know who caused the explosion."
"Oh!" Kosol's face lit up with surprise upon hearing this.
"Who is it!"
At this moment, Kosol desperately wanted to know who had attacked his disciple.
Kane reached into his pocket and pulled out a crystal ball the size of a fist.
Theodore's eyes widened slightly.
"Alchemy tools stored in the storage space?"
Kane handed the crystal ball to his teacher.
"Teacher, this is the surveillance device I got from you before. I used it to monitor the area around my house, and it should have seen what the murderer looked like."
"Furthermore, I suspect that the perpetrator of this bombing is the same person who killed Assistant Teacher Soya before."
Thor took the crystal ball and told Kane, "You get some rest. Your teacher will definitely catch the murderer!"
After saying that, he turned and glanced at Theodore standing next to him.
Theodore smiled slightly and said, "Mr. Kosor, there is a suitable room in the next building that can access the footage recorded by the props. Please come in."
"Hmph, then hurry up and lead the way."
Sol showed Theodore no kindness whatsoever.
Theodore wasn't annoyed; he just wanted to make things a little uncomfortable for the people of Apprentice City, not that he really wanted the two sides to fall out.
So he offered to lead the way.
"Everyone, let's go see what the real culprit looks like."
The group quickly left the ward.
……
Upon arriving at the vacant room Theodore had mentioned, Kothor placed the alchemical artifact in the center of the room and infused it with magic.
Then, several still images were projected from the crystal ball in all directions.
Upon seeing these images, Theodore frowned slightly.
"There are too many recorded images; it will take forever to find them."
At this moment, Lyon stepped forward.
"I have a hypothesis and screening plan."
"The explosion happened late at night, and the other party would definitely choose a time when there are few people around when planting the bomb, so I speculate that the other party may have acted in the evening or at night when we sealed off Apprentice City."
"You can directly filter for clips taken at night."
Leon put to use the information Dorothy had given him.
Upon hearing this, Theodore and Corsol exchanged a glance and nodded, agreeing that the speculation was reasonable.
So Kosor waved his left hand, and the images were quickly arranged.
With everyone's help, the nighttime footage was quickly selected.
Then each person watched one scene, and the video started moving.
It's only been half an hour since it started.
Lyon exclaimed with delight, "Found it!"
Kosor and Theodore, who had been staring at the video footage playing in the air, quickly ran to Leon's side.
Thor's eyes widened. "Where?"
Theodore patted Leon on the shoulder and said, "Point it out."
Lyon pointed to a corner of the house.
There was a dark figure making small movements there.
Theodore looked at Kothor and asked, "Mr. Kothor, can you zoom in?"
Thor chuckled softly, "Of course."
With the killer found, Thor felt much more relaxed.
The image that Leon was pointing at slowly zoomed in.
All the teachers around gathered around.
They stared at the dark figure, their brows furrowed slightly.
"It's a bit dark; the features aren't very clear."
"There's no way around it; he deliberately hides where the alchemy lamp can't reach. He's very wary."
"Hey! He's starting to move!"
