The sun was a fiery orb dipping into the Arabian Sea, casting a golden sheen over the sprawling Abdullah family estate in Mumbai, a palatial abode that juxtaposed serene opulence with the bustling spirit of the city.
General Harries Singh, clad in his immaculate army uniform adorned with medals that glinted in the dying light, stood at the entrance, his demeanor that of a man on a mission of grave importance.
Flanked by ten of his most trusted soldiers, the General's silhouette was a stark reminder of the authority he wielded. He had journeyed here with a purpose that weighed heavily on his shoulders – to unravel the enigma of Mohan Das, a man whose origins were as obscure as his rise was meteoric.
For two days, General Singh had delved deep into Das's past, trawling through records, interrogating contacts, and piecing together the life of the young man who had gone from managing a brothel to being an influential figure capable of swaying the delicate balance of power between hidden families.
Yet, the climax of Das's life in an orphanage remained shrouded in mystery, a puzzle that refused to yield its secrets.
As the keeper of peace in his mother nation, General Singh's resolve was to halt the war simmering between the hidden families. His efforts had borne fruit, striking an uneasy truce with the Farus and Aries families, and the enigmatic new players, the Taurus clan. But peace hinged on a single, elusive ingredient – Das.
The Aries family patriarch and Myra of the Taurus family had been adamant: Das must be brought to the peace meeting. And so, here stood General Singh, at the estate of the very man who unknowingly held the key to averting a war.
Sana Abdullah, the poised daughter of the Abdullah family and the estate manager, stepped forward to receive the General. Her eyes, reflecting the depth of the sea, held a glint of recognition of the power the General wielded, yet her stance was unyielding, befitting her role as the gatekeeper to the estate and, by extension, to Das himself.
"General Harries Singh," she said, her voice steady, "it is an honor to welcome you to our estate. It's sad that my master is not home to welcome you." Sana said with a sweet smile while hiding her intent.
The General raised a hand, a silent command for discipline, preparing to address the impetuosity of his subordinate. But before he could speak, the atmosphere was pierced by a sound unexpected in its joviality – a loud laughter.
It cascaded from the entrance hall, where a lady emerged, her presence like a burst of sunlight through storm clouds. She was clad in a business suit that spoke of power and grace, her appearance defying the passage of time.
This is Maria, the linchpin in Das's business empire, her youthful visage belying the wisdom and experience she wielded. After Das handed over the forty thousand crores from winning the blood dual, she erected a business empire and became the new ruler to occupy the business world.
At present, she is a famous business leader respected by the country's top leaders. To go against her without proper orders is a big task for General Singh.
"Ah, what do we have here? Soldiers ready to storm the castle?" Maria quipped, her eyes dancing with mirth as she descended the stairs to join them. "General Singh, isn't it? And who might this eager young man be?" she inquired, nodding towards the decorated soldier.
"Whoever you are, it won't do any good for you if you go against Das. At present, he is not at home. So, go back and return after making an appointment." Maria declared with a confident smile as she took the seat opposite to general.
