The dragger trembled on the table, its steel surface resonating with the palpable anger of the old man who had released it. Luis, the Aries family's young master, stopped in his tracks, his heart pounding in his chest, as the dagger's razor edge almost caressed his hair.
Even Baku, the specially trained bodyguard, had failed to sense the silent and deadly release of the dagger by the old man. By the time he sense the threat, the dagger already landed on the table.
Luis could feel the threat passing dangerously close before his eyes, and his instincts screamed at him to react, but he remained frozen, trapped in the tension of the moment.
However, amidst the tension and danger, a small, knowing smile appeared on Princess Serena's face. Her eyes sparkled with recognition, and she mumbled softly, her voice carrying a hint of warmth and amusement, "Grandfather is here."
The room seemed to hold its breath as the old man, the old patriarch of a powerful and enigmatic Shadow clan, continued to emanate an aura of anger and authority.
With a smoke pipe clenched firmly in his mouth and a weathered black eye patch covering his blind eye, the old man entered the hall with deliberate, measured steps. He exuded an air of authority that was impossible to ignore. His weather-beaten face remained stoic, revealing no hint of fear or hesitation.
The old man stopped before the trembling dagger that had narrowly missed Luis. His other hand reached out, and he effortlessly retrieved the weapon from the table. Luis seethed with anger, but his voice was trapped by a profound fear of the old man's demeanour.
In the midst of the tension, Baku, the loyal bodyguard, couldn't contain his outrage any longer. His voice cracked with fury as he spat out his words.
"How dare you, old man? Are you tired of living? Do you even know who you threw that dagger at? He's the Young Master of the Aries family! You'll lose your head for this crime!"
The old man merely smirked at Baku's threats, his one good eye gleaming with defiance. He held the dagger in reverse, surprising everyone in the room, and with a lightning-fast movement, he punched Baku square in the chest with the blunt handle of the weapon.@@@@
Baku, caught off guard by the unexpected attack, instinctively placed his hands before his chest to protect himself. The force of the blow sent him stumbling backward, his mouth filling with the taste of blood.
He was left dazed and disoriented, devoid of the energy needed to mount any retaliation against the one-eyed old man. The room, once filled with tension, now hung in eerie silence, as the old man's audacious act left everyone stunned and reeling.
"How dare you beat my bodyguard? I will kill..." The Aries family's young master, Luis, rose angrily to confront the old man, his face contorted with rage. But his words were abruptly cut short as the old man swiftly pointed the menacing dagger at Luis, causing him to swallow his anger.
A mocking smile danced on the old man's lips as he released a puff of smoke from his pipe. "See, kid, you'll meet the same fate as this brainless fellow if you keep talking same shit. So, stop threatening me."
However, as quickly as the jubilation began, the war jet abruptly departed from the airspace above the Farus family camp, leaving a trail of mystery in its wake. Meanwhile, the released drone continued its unhurried descent towards the camp, its presence an enigmatic and ominous harbinger of unforeseen events.
The night had transformed from one of quiet repose to a state of red alert, and the Farus family camp braced itself for the imminent unknown.
As the drone descended toward the Farus family camp in agonisingly slow motion, the atmosphere grew increasingly tense. The once-celestial fireworks display had now turned into an eerie backdrop to an impending crisis.
In the control room, Princess Amara's eyes widened with alarm as she watched the approaching drone on the surveillance screens. Her heart raced, and she knew that this was no ordinary incursion. She immediately woke up her sister and left the camp.
The few guards on duty rushed to their positions, their hands trembling as they clutched their weapons. They exchanged nervous glances, uncertainty etched on their faces. The control room head barked orders, trying to maintain a semblance of order amid the chaos unfolding before them.
Outside, the roaring sea tides seemed to grow louder, as if echoing the anxiety that had gripped the camp. The drone continued its descent, its purpose unknown, but its presence a palpable threat. A colourful, dazzling gift box is hanging from it like a x-mas present.
Princess Amara took the binoculars from one of the commanders and closely observed at the gift box dropping slowly. Her eyes went wide, as she saw the Aries family name written all over the colourful wrap.
"What the hell? Is that a bomb?" Latha who also staring at the Aries family tag, cried out angrily.
"I don't think so. If it is really a bomb, they would have already dropped it directly. More than that the Aries family won't dare to attack us directly as situation did not reached that point." Princess Amara replied without moving her focus from the gift box.
As the moments ticked by, the drone finally touched down on the ground, delivering the mysterious gift box. The camp remained in a state of paralysed suspense; no one dared to approach or open the enigmatic gift box.
The control room head diligently scanned the box for any signs of explosives or danger. With a furrowed brow, the control room head reported to Princess Amara.
"Madam, there's a strange smell of blood coming from inside the box. There's also a letter." With careful hands, the control room head presented a red envelope, its ominous presence further heightening the tension in the room.
