Chapter 2154 - 60: The First Silence (Part 6)
To him, it wasn’t difficult, yet Ian perceived that over five years, the Terra Cradle had traveled a considerable distance across the universe, causing certain changes in the space-time axis.
Nothing unusual, Ian thought, a cradle isn’t stationary, just like the Solar System seems still but sways at the edge of the galaxy. As long as the observational perspective is broad enough, even the entire universe will sway like bacterial colonies in a petri dish.
However, after slightly sensing Terra Cradle’s movement speed, Ian suddenly froze.
"Five light-years..."
He murmured, "Moved five light-years in five years..."
What?
For a moment, even Ian didn’t understand what this meant—five years moving five light-years is just light, right? Quite normal, superluminal speed is so simple in the Aether Universe that light-speed movement seems merely mundane; besides, in Terra, even the Third Energy Level’s Sunbird can barely force light movement.
But here’s the issue.
It wasn’t light moving, nor any Light Speed Spacecraft.
The entire cradle was moving.
The silent universe seemed to resonate with thunderous roars.
A vast space-time ensemble with a five-light-year radius was moving at light speed; through super-dimensional perception and normal aether perception, simultaneously observing two time points, Ian sensed the cradle’s trajectory...almost a straight line.
It is said to be "almost" because with Ian’s perceptive ability, he could distinguish anything that isn’t absolutely straight.
It is still described as straight because the curvature is overwhelmingly small, even nonexistent.
How shall we say this?
An infinitely large circle’s line is such an infinite near-straight curve, perhaps.
"Why is it moving like this..."
Ian locked his eyes on Terra Cradle’s location. He could confirm Terra Cradle is moving directly at light speed, but he was completely clueless as to why; it defies logic, one could even say—just what force is dragging a space-time ensemble with a five-light-year radius to near-light speed?
It utterly defies reason!
Just when Ian was utterly perplexed, suddenly, he saw it.
In the light from five years ago, another shadow suddenly appeared.
What?
Ian’s attention was immediately captivated; he noticed that beside Terra Cradle, another enormous shadow seemed to be isolating the aether.
No, not one side.
Rather, both sides.
Ian’s field of vision gradually expanded, transcending space and time, as from the center of Terra Cradle, the mist dissipated, and his view brightened.
Thus, he saw it.
As Terra Cradle sped at light speed towards the distant horizon, around it, one after another ’dark space-time’ followed closely, rushing alongside Terra Cradle.
They are...
Cradles.
Other cradles.
Ian slowly widened his eyes.
Around Terra Cradle, he saw one cradle, two, four, eight... increasing in number, spinning, speeding, forming a dark river.
The surging black torrent flowed silently through the universe; countless cradles spun, flowed, drew straight lines, turning in the infinitely large universe.
What is this?
Ian suddenly turned around, looking behind himself—not worrying anymore about being cautious, he activated all his aether, channeling into his ’Great Expansion Field of View,’ gained after failing to advance to Star God from the Great Aether Circulation.
Then, he saw it, clearly, like a painter observing his canvas.
He looked around himself, all directions, seeing everything.
All cradles.
The silent universe, pitch-black vacuum, countless cradles spun at near light speed in space-time, connected by cosmic strings, appearing as a black river if viewed without transcending time and space.
But if observed from a super-dimensional perspective, a conclusion as unimaginably immense would emerge.
This is a ’ring.’
A giant ring rotating at light speed, with uncountable cradles as focal points, perhaps spanning the entire infinite universe to form an [Infinite Loop].
Anything involving infinity becomes incredibly marvelous.
An infinitely large universe.
Births infinite lives.
The Star God helped all life, gathering their sparks, injecting them into cradles.
The number of cradles is a fraction, a myriad, even a million of a species’ population.
So, what is the number of cradles?
Infinite.
Then, array the cradles.
Can infinite cradles forming a line encircle the entire infinite universe?
Two lines?
Ten lines?
A trillion lines?
The mere thought is laughable, remarkable, and beyond belief, yet the reality stands.
Ian saw, cradles flowed incessantly, forming an endlessly long river without visible depth or other side, appearing sporadically as they do not always exist in material space-time, but in other parallel universes.
This isn’t a ring existing solely within a single universe, but one spanning infinite parallel space-times.
