Chapter 494: War Academy’s System
Chapter 494: War Academy’s System
"Is there any powerful being among these instructors?", she asked with piqued curiosity.
Liora was not opposed to accepting a Teacher. Other Devils might be disdainful of doing so, but for her, she would do so as long as she could gain enough benefits.
Unfortunately, this also depended on the instructor’s strength. It was impossible for her to become the student of an ordinary Awakener. At least, they had to possess the power of an Archdevil.
Hearing her question, Alpha nodded at first, but halfway through, she shook her head.
"Yes and no. There are several powerful Awakeners who have reached out. Among them are several Rank 4 and Rank 5 instructors. Even a Rank 6 instructor has requested an audience. Unfortunately, it seems that no Rank 7 and above Awakeners are interested at the moment."
"My Lord, do you wish me to draft a message and send it?"
Liora sighed. She had already expected this result.
Her identity as the top performer was clearly not enough to attract the attention of the truly powerful figures among the Academy.
Hearing that the messages came from a bunch of weaklings, she shook her head and waved her hand dismissively.
"Tell them that my aunt has already formed a plan for my future. Give the same response to any future messages. Unless a Rank 7 Awakener requests an audience, there is no reason for you to inform me."
"Understood!"

The next morning, hundreds of newly enrolled students had gathered in a vast classroom.
The strange part was, however, that the classroom did not exist in reality; instead, it was located in an illusory world composed of information.
That’s right! The War Academy’s lessons did not take place in the real world, but in the Information World.
Perhaps because of its status as a Super-Grade Academy, the War Academy inside the Information World was subtly different.
This became clear to Liora as soon as she stepped into the classroom.
She wished to dig deeper and investigate the reason behind this sensation, but before she could do so, a woman appeared on the podium.
She wore the black-and-white attire of a teacher, smiling faintly as she looked down at the students below.
"Welcome, everyone.", she greeted, introducing herself.
"I’m Helen, a Rank 5 Awakener and the person responsible for your class this year. I believe you’ve all gone through the information given to you and are familiar with the War Academy by now."
"Still, for those unfamiliar, I shall give you a brief overview."
Saying this, the screen floating behind her lit up. Text began appearing on a blue surface, as if an invisible hand was writing on the screen.
"The War Academy’s purpose is simple and straightforward. We exist to train powerful soldiers, generals, and commanders for the Human Federation, enhancing our strength and increasing our chances of victory in the fight against the extraterrestrial races."
"Since that’s the case, the Academy’s teaching method is somewhat unorthodox. The lessons are all voluntary. You can choose which ones to attend on your own. However, I’ll give you a reminder."
Saying this, the woman’s smile was replaced by a stern expression.
"You should carefully consider what direction you wish to take in the future. Those who plan to continue as ordinary Awakeners should participate in the Combat Division Class. Those who wish to pilot Mecha must not miss the Mecha Engineering Track, etc."
The instructor continued her speech for quite a while. After telling everything she needed to, she didn’t keep them any longer.
Announcing the ending of today’s classes, her figure soon vanished, dispersing into symbols and patterns.
The tense students instantly relaxed.
They turned to the classmates closest to them and began introducing themselves.
All those who had been admitted to Super-Grade Academies were among the top among their peers, whether it was in abilities, intelligence, or background.
As such, most understood the importance of forming a network with their classmates.
Liora’s "grand entrance" yesterday, with her being accompanied by a powerful instructor, had already reached some people’s ears. After further investigation, they learned that she had come from a low-level, remote planet.
This did not make them look down on her, however.
Instead, it made them even more determined to establish a good relationship with this future powerhouse.
Unfortunately...
Before anyone could strike up a conversation with her, Liora pressed the "Return" button, teleporting back to her residence within the Information World.
Surprisingly, she didn’t appear in the territory of the Nova Terra Planet. Her residence had unknowingly been transferred to the War Academy, as had the residences of all students.
Seeing this, Liora shook her head and sighed.
She pressed her temple, allowing Alpha to materialize beside her.
At the same time, her consciousness swept out, and a blue screen flashed in her field of vision.
It was neither her own System Panel nor the AI Chip.
Rather, it was the power of the Information World and, more importantly, of the War Academy.
...
Name: Liora Augustus
Occupation: Student of the War Academy
Home Planet: Nova Terra
Talent: Elemental Affinity (SS-Rank)
Rank: [1]
Authority: Level 1
Contribution Points: 10500
...
The screen only displayed the information recorded in the Information World’s database.
Most of it was correct, aside from her Rank—a result of her having not had the chance to display her real strength.
However, Liora had already expected this.
Her gaze didn’t linger for long on the first few columns, soon concentrating on the one at the very bottom.
Contribution Points.
She might not have understood what this meant in the past, but having enrolled in the War Academy, she now knew all too well.
"Contribution Points are essentially the currency of the Human Federation within the Information World. With enough Contribution Points, nearly everything is possible.", Alpha commented from the side.
Liora’s Contribution Points had reached 10500 thanks to her SS-Rank Elemental Affinity talent, combined with the starting "gift" of the War Academy.
She was not the only one receiving this gift. Every student would be rewarded with Contribution Points upon registering.
The reason was simple. These points served as a way to help the students improve their strength.
Liora’s eyes narrowed.
Her consciousness communicated with the system of the War Academy within the Information World.
The screen before her flickered, soon replaced by several different columns.
"War Academy’s Treasury" was written above them, while below it lay several categories.
"Techniques", "Weapons", "Knowledge", "Machinery", "Miscellaneous"...
The categories numbered in the hundreds, many that Liora could think of, and some beyond her imagination.
Despite this, her gaze only briefly hovered on them. She had come here with a certain purpose in mind.
Thinking of this, her gaze concentrated on the "Techniques" category.
Lines of text appeared in the form of a long list.
"Thunder God’s [Nine Stage Thunder Blade]—Contribution Points: 100 million per level."
"Destruction God’s [Catastrophe Spear]—Contribution Points: 100 million per level."
"Original Ancestor’s [Virtual World]—Contribution Points: 100 million per level."
